For a clean and healthy Mediterranean Sea
To enable the Mediterranean Sea to recover its rich biodiversity and to thrive in harmony with prospering, environmentally conscious and proactive local populations
Our team of experienced marine scientists and divers work closely with local authorities and stakeholders to create an effectively managed network of Marine Protected Areas around the Balearic Islands, allowing marine ecosystems to recover and thrive together with prospering local communities and industries.
Developed to tackle plastic pollution - one of the biggest threats to our oceans and to ourselves - our Beach Cleans, Schools Programme and Plastic Free Balearics Programme inspire and help local communities to take action while raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and encouraging innovative solutions.
Our research programmes, carried out by marine scientists, divers and volunteers, use cutting edge science to increase the current knowledge of potentially vulnerable species in the Mediterranean in order to protect them and their habitats. Between May to October you can join us onboard our research vessel Toftevaag!
