Now Hiring: Communications Manager at Save the Med

Save the Med Foundation is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to join our team in Binissalem, Balearic Islands! We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience in communications management, preferably within non-profit organisations.


Key Responsibilities


The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies that align with organisational goals and effectively engage diverse audiences. Key duties include content creation across various platforms, managing digital channels to optimise reach and engagement, and handling media relations to ensure consistent and positive public representation. The role also involves coordinating stakeholder and internal communications, and providing communications support for events. Additionally, the position requires ongoing evaluation and monitoring of communications efforts to assess impact and inform continuous improvement.


Required Skills and Experience


Essential:

  • Degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Environmental Science, or similar.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, preferably within NGOs or environmental fields.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.

  • Excellent writing skills, digital content creation, social media management, and use of AI tools applied to communications.

  • Web analytics and media relations.

  • Knowledge of marine conservation and the ability to translate scientific concepts for the general public.

Offer


  • Contract: Permanent with probationary period
